Transit of Mercury!
My eldest and fellow nerd got up early to go out in the cold and observe the transit of Mercury at All-Star Telescope. Very thankful for the beautiful clear sky, especially after so many cloudy days. It was cold (-15C) but we had a great view and enjoyed the time with fellow astronomy enthusiasts. Ellie was really excited to go see it, and Naomi brought the other kids out for a short time of viewing as well.
Ellie and I stayed for the whole show, just over 3 hours, so we could watch the end of the transit. Special father-daughter time watching a rare astronomical event. Won’t see this again in North America until 2049.
