Moving Day

Moving day is one of those special, crazy days in life. It is something to look forward to with excitment of a new move. It is something to dread with the fear of a new move. It can be both. For us it was a great, yet tiring day. The weather was clear and cool (perfect!) and things went very smoothly. After months of preparation with Naomi packing a couple boxes a day and the much hurried pace of the last two weeks we were finally as close to ready as we could be.

The living room at the beginning of the day..

Bruce arrives with the truck and boxes are being brought up from the basement.

With the help of many friends who stopped by to help the house was emptied and the truck carefully loaded.

It was kinda weird looking at what was massive piles of boxes and furniture, all our possesions, get carefully packed into just 18 feet of truck.. but there is a load for some store in Saskatoon and some lady’s car yet to go on the truck.

We had lots of people helping haul stuff out of the house and onto the back of the truck. Others helped with the cleaning inside the house once it was emptied. Others looked after our daughters while we worked. The loading crew did a great job getting it all packed in.

Thank you to all who helped! You were a great blessing to our family!

Bye bye stuff. See you in Alberta!
