Many people are excited about the strength of the Canadian Dollar recently compared to the US buck. There are many advantages and disadvantages for businesses and individuals in Canada to these changes we have seen peak after the last several years of a rising Canadian dollar, but there is one downside most people are not aware of.. missionary support.

This does not affect Naomi and I much, but we know of several missionary families serving in Canada who are either from the US or have a significant amount of their support come from south of the border. They have seen their income decrease significantly over the last few years. Remember 5 years ago when $1000 USD equaled $1500 CDN? That exchange difference is gone now and many missionaries in Canada are feeling the hefty ‘pay cut’ because of it.

Please pray for these missionaries as they cope with these changes. And if you can, support them financially.
