Western Girls

Ellie and Adelaine are adjusting to the new reality of living in Alberta pretty well. Actually, Adelaine is fairly oblivious to the changes and Ellie is having too much fun with grandparents to miss her old home much. I don’t think she realizes that this is our new home yet.

They have both met some new friends. Some of our co-workers have little kids too. Evan is just a couple days younger then Ellie, and Addie just turned a year old. They got to play together a few days ago and we expect there will be many more play days ahead.

The girls also continue to grow and develop. Ellie’s vocabulary will soon pass her father’s and she has been saying fairly complex sentences for many months now. This morning when she saw Adelaine she said ” That is Adelaine. She has blue eyes like me.”

Adelaine is almost ready to crawl.. she tries hard and sometimes gets upset at her lack of progress, especially when the toys get farther away. She seems to be stuck in reverse, but any day she will figure out how to go forward.

Adelaine has also pushed out two teeth in the last few weeks. It is now officially dangerous to put a finger in her mouth.
