What? Ellie is going to school?

Ellie had her first day at preschool this past week! She is attending a small preschool that focuses more on teaching social skills than learning the alphabet or counting.

Ellie was pretty excited, but then again, she is passionate about most things in life (like frost, for example). She was a little disappointed that she wasn’t riding on a school bus, as that has been a lifelong ambition for her, but then again, most things are a lifelong ambitions for Ellie (“Maybe someday I can clean the toilet mommy!” or “When I get big, maybe I’ll go to the moon.”).

Though I was sick that day, there was no way the Digital Dad was going to miss the big first day, so off to school we went.

Since Ellie had missed the first few weeks we wondered if she would have any problems adjusting or fitting in. We needn’t have worried. Before we left, she was walking around hand in hand with two other girls. Girls! Most of her friends are boys, so we were quite happy to see her meeting some girls to have fun with.

Ministry Update :: October 2, 2009

It’s good to be home!

After being on the road (or in the air) for a full month, we are back home. We left for some vacation/deputation on August 27, then were in Ontario from September 19 until the 28th.

While in New Brunswick we were able to visit some friends and supporters and spend lots of time with family. We were able to get out and do lots of things as a family, including:

We also got to share about our ministry at seven churches over our five Sundays, updating some on what we are doing and introducing many more to the ministry and evangelism resources of GoodSeed.

Our time in Ontario was quite full too. We visited many friends and Troy helped teach an evangelism seminar at the Word of Life Bible Institute.

PS: GoodSeed has a new book! “What are Christmas and Easter All About?

Give away the gospel for less than the cost of a Christmas card. Get the message of the Bible into the hands of everyone in your community. This fully illustrated, 80-page book leads a person from Creation to Christ.
