Ministry Update :: November 9, 2009

John Cross and I are now back in Alberta after our trip to New Brunswick last week. We were at my home church in Sackville, NB, to teach an evangelism seminar to 29 people from around the Maritimes. It was a really good time and I enjoyed meeting some new people and reconnecting with some old friends in the classroom.

We also traveled to New Brunswick Bible Institute where they gave John their chapel time as well as a few of their classes to speak to the students. While there we got to drive over the worlds longest covered bridge.

While in the Maritimes, John wanted to sample the local seafood, so my family obliged and we had a few feasts (lobster rolls, steamed mussels, fried clams and scallops, clam fritters, shrimp)! I don’t think I have ever had so much seafood.

Here is a review from a Pastor that was posted on GoodSeed.com from the seminar in Sackville:

I have had four years of Bible training and 8 years of full time ministry experience. I know the Bible stories and understand some of the connections. But while I sat in this seminar last week I caught myself saying “wow I never saw it that way before” or “now that really makes sense”. My understanding of a message I have trusted for 25 years is now deeper and clearer they I thought it could be. God’s plan of salvation is so simple and beautiful and worthy of far more than the long hours of sitting in a chair studying. To see the theme of salvation traced through the scriptures in three days has been so rewarding.

My passion to share this message has been reignited.

Thank you for your prayers for me as I traveled and for Naomi as she was home with the kids.
