No matter how much they warn you, time goes by faster than you think.

Ethor is now officially nine years old. This year he wanted to help make his cake, though I think it was mostly so he had access to the icing bag. We had grandma and papa over for supper and opened some presents. I gave him the “you’re becoming a young man speech” and talked a bit about responsibility, then gave him is first real pocket knife, and an airsoft rifle to learn to shoot safely.
