Seven years to the day!
Didn’t plan it so neatly, but we wanted to revisit a hike we did back in 2012 with the kids. Back then they were 7, 5, and 3 years old, which was a first real hike with them. We stopped for a bite and took a photo.

When we were getting ready to take an updated photo in the same spot, we realized they both happened August 5th!

The hike was really nice. Wildflowers and lots of wild strawberries. It was the long weekend in August, yet we only saw around 8 people on the hike, and those were all on horseback.  It was also one of the quietest places I’ve been in a long time. No planes flying over, no quads roaring around (not allowed), no machines at all. It was wonderful!
