An evening at the beach

It would seem that we have a new tradition when we return to New Brunswick. We head out to Cape Pele beach for some seafood and a walk on the beach with my family. This is where we have introduced each of our kids to the Atlantic Ocean. This time we made the trip on our first day back in the Maritimes. It does my heart good to see big water with that wonderful salt smell.

Mmm.. Good day.

Fashion Week

This is what you can get when you ask the princess to get dressed. Mismatched socks, tiara, pink bead necklace, and floral print bathing suit to tie it all together.

It does, however, seem to make more sense than what you see at Paris Fashion Week.

A snowman kind of day

A chinook is blowing through, so it is about 25C warmer than usual around here this week. Normally the snow is so cold and dry you can’t even make a snowball, but with temperatures hitting +10C today, the snow was quite workwithable. I took the girls outside to work on our tans and our first snowman of the year.

The temperature is supposed to drop soon, so Mr. Snowman will probably be around for awhile.

Adelaine = 4

Happy Birthday to our sweet, little, high pitched voiced, princess dress wearing, pining for a prince to marry, middle in age but smallest in size,  four year old Adelaine.
From Naomi: “Four and a half years ago, the doctors told us that my unborn baby would never survive. But God wasn’t too concerned about the doctors’ dire predictions and He undertook for her life; four years ago today, our sweet Adelaine was born. Happy Birthday to my precious miracle girl!!”

Then:

Now:

Happy birthday little girl. We love you so much and thank God for letting us have you!

Christmas Concerts

‘Tis the season for Children’s Christmas Concerts, fa la la la la, ohh, isn’t that cute.

Yup, so here they are for aunts and grandmothers scattered afar. Ellie had her Kindergarten concert and the Adelaine and Ellie were in the Sunday School concert.
